Faced with growing business needs, plans to expand into foreign markets and strive to provide the highest quality shopping experience, Ibra Makeup faced a strategic decision to change its e-commerce platform to a solution that is more scalable, flexible and offers broader integration possibilities.

Challenges

The main challenge for Ibra Makeup was the limited functionality and scalability of the existing Shoper platform, which began to be a barrier to the dynamic development of the company and its growing aspirations. The key issues and needs that we identified together with the Client included:

  • The need for a smooth and comprehensive migration an extensive database (products with variants, categories, blog content, customer base, CMS subpages, configuration of URL redirects) without the risk of data loss and negative impact on the developed positions in the search results (SEO).
  • The need to create and implement an advanced affiliate program — Ambassador Program — which aimed to strengthen the engaged community around the brand, increase its reach and generate sales through referral marketing.
  • The requirement for full integration of the new online store with the external ERP system to automate key business processes such as: two-way synchronization of products and their attributes, real-time inventory updates, order submission, invoice generation, and customer data synchronization.
  • Launch of Shopify Markets for different currencies (PLN, EUR)to facilitate the purchasing process for international customers and support the foreign brand expansion strategy.
  • Ensure efficient handling of orders from multiple sales channels through integration with the Baselinker system, which aimed to optimize logistics and warehouse processes.
  • Maintaining Business Continuity and minimization of possible downtime and inconvenience for customers during the entire migration process and implementation of new functionalities.
  • Customizing the look and functionality of the store to the latest UX/UI trends, providing intuitive navigation and a positive shopping experience on all devices.

It was necessary to move an extensive database (products with variants, categories, blog content, customer base, CMS subpages, configuration of URL redirects) without the risk of data loss and negative impact on the developed positions in the search results (SEO).

It was also very important to customize the look and functionality of the store to the latest UX/UI trends, providing intuitive navigation and a positive shopping experience on all devices.

Full integration of systems was an important part of automating key business processes such as: two-way synchronization of products and their attributes, real-time inventory updates, order submission, invoice generation and customer data synchronization. This is a crucial step in creating an effective eCommerce solution for a D2C beauty company.

It had to be launched Shopify Markets for different currencies (PLN, EUR)to facilitate the purchasing process for international customers and support the foreign brand expansion strategy.
