COBI is one of the strongest Polish brands in the construction block segment, operating globally and manufacturing entirely in Poland. For years, it has built its position not by competing on price, but through high quality, distinct specialization, and a strong collector/hobbyist DNA.
The brand is particularly known for its realistic historical, military, and aviation models, which primarily appeal to adult enthusiasts and collectors. The end customer is very often a history, aviation, or military enthusiast, willing to pay more for build quality, licensed details, and large, meticulously designed sets. This directly translates into a higher average order value and strong customer loyalty.

The existing solution no longer met the brand's scale and ambitions. COBI needed a platform that would support cross-border commerce, provide greater stability, better control over the frontend and the purchasing process, and create a technical foundation for further online sales development. The project was therefore not just about changing a tool, but about building a new, more structured e-commerce environment.
From a business perspective, COBI combines direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales through its own online store with an extensive B2B distribution network across multiple markets. Online sales serve not only a transactional function but also contribute to brand image and community building. The store also needed to effectively showcase premium products, handle rich product pages, support collection launches, and be ready for expansion into new markets.
The client required a solution capable of supporting future traffic growth, expanding their offering, and subsequent stages of expansion. A key objective was migrating to a platform that was more operationally predictable and easier to develop for a D2C model.
The store previously operated on Squarespace, which no longer met the brand's needs for flexibility and scalability. A migration was necessary to a solution better suited for modern e-commerce.
For a premium brand, it was crucial not just to launch the store, but also to maintain control over how products are presented and how users navigate the store. It was essential to streamline the structure and enhance the shopping experience.
COBI operates as a global brand, which is why the new sales environment had to be ready for subsequent market rollouts and further expansion. The store was intended to serve as a foundation not only for current sales but also for future operations in Europe and Latin America.
COBI chose Shopify as its target e-commerce platform, and our task was to efficiently implement the store, customize the design, and prepare the entire environment for sales launch. The project scope encompassed both the technical area and practical support in getting the store ready for its actual launch.

Implementing Shopify for a large brand isn't just about launching a new store. The key is building a stable foundation that streamlines the purchasing process, provides greater control over growth, and enables secure planning of future expansion phases. For COBI, this was precisely the most significant value delivered.
